Our Comprehensive In-Home Care Services

Growing old is a process that brings joy and challenges. As we age, we can enjoy more free time, but health and mobility issues can arise, leading to less independence. Village Caregiving aims to allow our clients to enjoy the good parts of aging while helping to keep as much independence as possible.

As the largest privately owned in-home care agency in the United States, we help many people remain comfortably at home and assist them with whatever daily tasks they need help with.

Companionship and Assistance

Our caregivers provide regular companionship to clients, providing support and activities that keep their minds and bodies active. Depending on their preferences, skills and mobility, some of the activities our caregivers can do with clients include:

  • Music
  • Games
  • Watching movies
  • Baking
  • Eating meals together
  • Art therapy
  • Walking
  • Gardening

Besides companionship, a fundamental part of what we offer is assistance with day-to-day living tasks. We want clients to have a clean home and ensure they feel good. We assist with daily activities such as:

  • Hygiene maintenance
  • Laundry
  • Meals
  • Light housekeeping
  • Dressing
  • Toileting
  • Bathing
  • Ambulation
  • Errands

We will provide ongoing needs assessments and adapt as requirements change.

Respite Care

The care process is a rewarding but challenging part of many people’s lives. Stress and burnout are common for primary caregivers, so recharge time is vital to their well-being. We offer respite care to tend to this need. Our flexibility with our scheduling and 24/7 support lines ensure you, as the primary caregiver, can get respite at short notice. We can step in for an afternoon if you have an appointment to attend or for a few days if you want to go on vacation. Scheduling regular respite care lets you take care of your responsibilities and get the rest you need.

Our caregivers can help manage medication schedules and gently remind clients to take their medicines on time. However, we cannot administer medicines as we aren’t a skilled care agency.

Housekeeping and Transportation Services

We offer an appointment transportation service to ensure our clients’ safety and comfort and to keep them out in the world as much as possible, which helps them maintain social connections. Our caregivers will transport clients to medical appointments and social events, as well as help them complete daily errands.

It is important for the home to be a clean environment, so we can also do light housekeeping work as well as make sure living spaces are in good order.

Meal Preparation and Nutrition

Eating healthy food is critical to maintaining overall health. We can provide clients with customized meal plans that consider their dietary needs and preferences and assist with preparing the meals as necessary. We will help with everything from getting fresh ingredients from the grocery store to serving the food and assisting clients with feeding themselves if they need it.

Personal Hygiene Assistance

Maintaining basic hygiene can become complex as aging progresses, so we offer hygiene, grooming, bathing and dressing support to clients. This support helps maintain clients’ health and keeps them feeling good about themselves.

In addition to grooming and bathing, other hygiene tasks we can help with include:

  • Flossing
  • Brushing
  • Mouthwashing
  • Denture cleaning
  • Hair care
  • Handwashing
  • Shaving
  • Lotion application

The Village Caregiving Difference

We stand out from other in-home caregivers because we are willing to do whatever is necessary to meet our clients’ needs. Our process is simple. First, we will have a consultation to determine what services the client requires. Next, we will iron out the fine details of each service and scheduling, and finally, we will determine how much family involvement there will be in the care process.

The more that family can involve themselves, the better, as it provides their loved ones with familiarity and comfort. This comfort can help loved ones communicate their needs better, making for the best care outcomes.

Caregiving is a people business, so we care for our caregivers so they can give their best to our clients.

We strive to ensure as many people as possible have access to our services, so we keep our hourly rates low and accept Medicare Advantage plans, as well as certain Medicaid programs. If they need it, we advise potential clients on what state or federal benefits are available to them.
