Comprehensive In-Home Care Services
We understand that navigating the aging process as a family is not easy. Your loved one’s needs come first, and having the right support is essential during this time. Our comprehensive in-home care services make the transition easier so that everyone in your family can adapt to a new living situation, especially your older family members.
Custom Care Plans
Our custom care plans meet your loved one’s needs. We consider every aspect when planning in-home care in Southern WV so that they receive the best service. Depending on their requirements, we’ll do regular assessments and update plans if necessary. Circumstances change, so we are flexible and can accommodate modifications accordingly.
Daily Living Assistance
Our family caregivers help with various daily living tasks. If your loved one is less mobile than before, we’ll help them bathe, dress and groom themselves. Our trained professionals treat elderly individuals with the care and respect they deserve.
If your loved one enjoys cooking but can no longer do it alone, their assigned caregiver will help prepare and cook nutritious meals for them. Sharing meals together promotes happiness and strengthens the patient-caregiver bond.
Forgetfulness becomes an issue with aging, so our family caregivers can also help with medication management. They will remind your loved one to take their medication promptly each day and read the labels as a safety precaution.
Specialized Support Services
No two individuals are the same, so we do not provide the same support across the board. Our specialized support services go beyond daily living assistance and include mobility support, companionship and respite care.
Elderly Independence and Mobility Support
Our goal is for our elderly clients to have the autonomy to move around freely in the comfort of their homes. We can make things easier by providing ambulation services to help improve mobility. Ambulation is your loved one’s ability to walk from one point to another. If they can’t do this alone, their family caregiver will use tools like a cane or walker for support. They can also offer their arms for more personal interaction.
We know falling is common among the elderly, especially those living alone. A caregiver can help mitigate the risk of falling by inspecting their home and setting up fall prevention strategies to ensure their safety. They will move furniture and remove objects that could present a tripping or falling hazard.
Companionship Services
Life gets lonely when you’re living on your own. Everyone deserves a companion for good company, an ear that will listen and a shoulder to cry on. At Village Caregiving, our companionship services in southern WV help your loved one gain the confidence to participate in social activities with a friend by their side. The family caregiver will engage in friendly conversation to keep your loved one’s mind stimulated. If your relative is able to, the caregiver will also do light exercises with them to keep them active and promote mobility.
Respite Care Services
If your family has appointed a primary caregiver to care for your loved one, they will need occasional relief. The role can be physically and mentally exhausting. With our respite care service, we’ll send a family caregiver to stand in for your primary caregiver. This service benefits those who want the flexibility of having someone on weekends and holidays and at night when the primary caregiver might be unavailable.
Since we offer flat hourly rates, this solution makes financial sense.
Our Commitment to Quality Care
Our caregivers for elderly are committed to providing quality care and outstanding service. We don’t compromise on our level of quality, and we offer round-the-clock care and emergency response services.
24/7 Care Availability
Emergencies can happen any time, day or night. We’ll provide a family caregiver to oversee your loved one and assist at night when they need the toilet or for any other reason. Our caregivers are willing to be there when you need someone most. They will enlist the help of emergency response services if necessary and provide support for your family.
Accepting Medicare and Medicaid
We understand finances can be a concern and want to assist with funding our specialized care services. When we meet, we will discuss your options, including Medicaid programs and Medicare Advantage plans for qualifying individuals. We also accept private payment, long-term care insurance and other plans, which we’ll cover in our meeting.
If you’re ready to proceed, we’ll assist with the relevant paperwork and claims so you have one less thing to worry about.
