Comprehensive In-Home Care Services
As a family, you want comprehensive in-home care services to ensure your loved one’s needs are fully met. We have various personalized care plans to suit your family’s unique circumstances and budget.
Personalized Care Plans
Personalized care plans are as exceptional as your family’s needs. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all plans. We offer tailored solutions that cater to circumstantial changes. We consider your loved one’s current physical, social and health status and customize a plan that can be easily adapted if anything changes.
Your loved one’s emotional well-being is as important as their physical well-being. Promoting their independence with a caregiver helps improve their overall health. Their assigned family caregiver will engage in meaningful, wholesome conversations and non-taxing activities and keep your relative’s mind and body occupied so they have a renewed sense of autonomy and freedom.
Support for Daily Activities
Our family caregivers support older family members who struggle with daily activities such as personal hygiene, cooking and light housekeeping. Your loved one values their independence, and we encourage them to have it at home. Some activities might require help because of limited mobility or physical health issues. Bathing, for example, is very personal and private. Our family caregivers assist respectfully so that your loved one doesn’t feel awkward around them.
For some elderly people, cooking might have been a big part of their lives and something they enjoy. Cooking might give them a sense of autonomy and purpose, but their physical state is holding them back. A family caregiver can help prepare meals and even share them with your loved one so they can still enjoy the activity. They’ll assist with grocery shopping and buying fresh ingredients to maintain good nutrition.
When it’s time to fetch their medication, the caregiver will transport them to and from appointments. They’ll also drive them to social or family gatherings, ensuring their safety.
Social Companionship and Assistance
A Village Caregiving caregiver is a companion when your loved one feels lonely. They are there to listen and talk — the family caregiver’s role in social companionship is to be your relative’s friend when they don’t have any. They provide the emotional support your family can not always offer due to busy schedules or living too far away.
They aim to enhance your loved one’s quality of life so they feel fulfilled and happy at home. If your loved one has a request, they’ll try their best to abide by it. For example, let’s say an older adult wants to stroll in the park or grab some ice cream. Their caregiver can use their discretion to take them as long as the request is reasonable. This is one way our staff at Village Caregiving goes above and beyond for our elderly clients. We say yes when others say no.
Other Services Offered
Among our list of services at Village Caregiving, we also offer:
- Laundry
- Respite care
- Fall risk mitigation and ambulation
- Self-administered medication assistance
If your loved ones need their laundry done, their caregiver will assist with that and other light housekeeping. Cleaning and keeping the home tidy is a part of this service.
Falls are a common hazard for the elderly and cannot always be prevented. Your loved one’s caregiver will inspect the home to ensure no furniture or other objects are present that could pose a falling or tripping risk. They’ll aim to mitigate risks, but if an accident occurs, they are trained in ambulation to help them get from one point to another.
We’ll also provide temporary relief when your appointed primary caregiver needs a break. Our respite service is helpful when you don’t have a full-time Village Caregiver carer but need help relieving a family member. We will be available to take over and offer flexible schedules so you can count on us any time of day. Whether you need us for an hour or a few on a weekend, on a holiday or at night, we’ll be there to assist.
Additionally, although our family caregivers don’t administer medication, they can set reminders to ensure your loved one takes their medication on time. They’ll organize the medication so that it’s easy to find and the labels are clear to read.
Why Choose Village Caregiving?
Our staff at Village Caregiving genuinely cares. They will go out of their way to ensure clients’ happiness. Since caregivers and clients spend so much time together, they form beautiful friendships. Don’t be surprised if a family caregiver stops by to drop off some flowers or chocolate in passing or just wants to say hi outside of work hours.
We treat your loved one like our own family — we’re truly invested and want the best for them. When you choose Village Caregiving, you receive the most compassionate, kindhearted and caring individuals to assist with your loved one’s daily activities. Your family’s involvement in caregiving is important since we need your direction and input regarding your loved one’s health and overall well-being. We’ll determine the best way forward to customize their personal care.
