CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – A local in-home caregiving service is celebrating two years of providing seniors with assistance.

Village Caregiving of Clarksburg opened in 2017 and is one of six non-medical care companies open in West Virginia and Kentucky.

The company helps seniors with daily tasks, such as cleaning, meal-prep and exercise, along with helping them get to appointments with doctors and hair-stylists.

“Our caregivers are in the community and they are reaching out to clients in need, and the word has spread about how well we treat our caregivers,” Village Caregiving office manager Morgan Wilfong said. “We have really grown over the past six months and we’re very proud at how hard our girls are working.”

Wilfong said Village Caregiving’s business model is especially important in West Virginia, which has one of the nation’s oldest populations of senior citizens.

Village Caregiving of Clarksburg can be reached by phone at 304.566.7498. Its office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It’s located at 244 E. Main St. in Clarksburg’s Quality Hill Historic District.
