My father was in his end of life stage and he arrived there very quickly. I didn’t know I was going to need help as soon as I did. Laney with Village Caregiving went all out from her home late in the evening reaching out and had help for me the next morning. I was exhausted but didn’t want my dad alone. The second day went by with nothing changing in my dad’s deep sleep. I stayed up with him thru that night and he woke up and I had a difficult time calming him down. That morning a very compationate Sara sat with him while I took a rest. We had made him comfortable and he had settled down, then it was a short time later Sara came to get me anxiously telling me his stomach quit going up and down. She provided calming words to him in my stead when he departed.
