Caregiver of the Year Award
The home care industry operates 24/7 with the help of committed caregivers. By nature of their work, some of their greatest sacrifices often go unnoticed. At Village Caregiving, we take the time to recognize the individuals who make our work possible every day by thanking them with the Caregiver of the Year Award.
What Is the Caregiver of the Year Award?
The Caregiver of the Year Award is a nationwide recognition program that encourages us to set aside time to honor the people who do so much. The role of home care in healthcare is often underestimated — every day, thousands of older adults rely on caregivers and family caregivers to manage their daily lives in every aspect. Our Village Caregiving professionals enable families everywhere to keep their loved ones at home, and our award continues to motivate them to put their best foot forward every day.
The criteria we use to evaluate our hundreds of caregivers highlight the areas they excel in and show us who goes above and beyond for their clients. We particularly value caregivers with high standards in:
- Care quality
- Family engagement
- In-home excellence
- Healthcare collaboration
- Community support
2024 Winner: Jennifer Kinney

With more than two decades of service as a professional caregiver, Jennifer Kinney has committed her life to pursuing her passion for helping others live better. Her unwavering positivity through times of hardship and her continued dedication have drawn our attention again and again. Even while navigating her own multiple sclerosis diagnosis and helping her husband recover from a heart attack, she has continued to be there for the clients who rely on her.
We chose Jennifer as our 2024 winner in particular for her work in February 2024, when her community was hit with a devastating tornado. Even with downed power lines and closed roads, Jennifer made it her mission to find and check on each of her clients, easing their concerns and helping them in every way she could.
2023 Winner: Kylee Bradshaw
As our Bloomington Director of Operations, Kylee Bradshaw has advocated for every older adult in her community. She won her award thanks to her commitment to training caregivers more effectively and increasing the accessibility of home-based care. Since then, Kylee has gone on to continue her unparalleled work, even being recognized in 2024 as a Future Leader by Home Health Care News and in 2025 with an Excellence in Healthcare Award from Health 2.0.
